EXT.  MEDITERRANEAN SEA.  AFTERNOON – 16^th CENTURY (PRESENT)

At the edge of a storm, descend through the clouds from above, take in the scope of a band of Muslim Corsairs on a direct heading for the extreme weather.  Zoom in to the lead galliot where a one armed bearded man stands at the helm, preparing for a risky maneuver to navigate through the arm of the storm front.  Another man joins him as the waves pitch higher, lightning cracks, and thunder rolls.
